Gay Bangkok

Information places to go in gay Bangkok

Gay Bangkok has become one of; if not the hottest gay destination in South East Asia with a city center overflowing with gay saunas, massage spas, gay bars, and clubs. It is also famous for its long-standing and commercial gay area. Bangkok has something for every breed of gay traveler, whether you are traveling as a couple, with friends or alone. Although not as cheap as it used to be, Gay Bangkok is still a good value destination for western travelers with well-priced hotels and entertainment options.

Most of the gay scene is in the area of Silom and the surrounding streets. Silom Soi 4 is your street of classic gay bars, some of which have been there for over 30 years. You can find everything here from cocktail bars, drag bars and great options for eating. Silom Soi 4 is busy year-round every night of the week. Silom Soi 2 is home to the famous and long-standing gay nightclub DJ Station. Patpong 1 and a small Soi leading off Thanon Surawong Road known by tourists as Soi Twilight and locally as Soi Pratuchai is the home of gay gogo bars, boy beer bars and massage shops that focus more on happy endings and commercial sex.

Silom as an area is dotted by massage shops, gay clubs, and gay saunas, mostly being within a 10-minute walk of Silom Soi 4. Silom Soi 2 is the home of DJ station, the premier gay nightclub in Bangkok. Recently re-opened there is also G.O.D Club, a real late night venue often open till dawn. There are a couple more nightclubs and late night dance venues spread across the city that are more geared towards locals than tourists, but we will give you the information on those places also!
